art commission


1.COPYRIGHT AND USAGE POLICY. By commissioning the artist, the client should be aware that they are purchasing the artist's "labor" only.The artist retains all rights, which include:
- Use it for Artist promotion.
- Post or display it in artist's profile/website/social media.
The client is allowed to:- Claim the rights of the concept/idea (e.g., character/backgrounds/prop designs) as their own but not the artwork itself.
- The client can only use the artwork for its main purpose. Non-commercialized work cannot be sold or made a profit.
- Use the artwork to promote themselves.
2. REVISION. The artist will ONLY accept revisions through the sketching stage. Minor revision is acceptable through the coloring process (color, additional assets, small adjustment on the character's pose). ADDITIONAL FEE if you want a major revision after the sketching process.3. REFUND AND CANCELLATION. If the artist fails to proceed or complete the project due to a personal situation or emergency, 50-100% of the paid commission will be given back to the client. (For example, 50% will be given back if the artist only completes the approved final sketch and 100% if the artist fails to start working on the commission.)
If the project or commission is canceled, the client should pay a kill fee of 30% of the overall commission price. This is to make sure that the work and time the artist puts in is compensated for.
4. TERMS OF PAYMENT. Payment (20%-50%) should be given after the rough sketch is sent and approved by the client before the artist proceeds with the actual work. When the artwork is complete, the artist will send a low-resolution image with a watermark of the finished product. The final product shall only be received when the final payment has been made.
